How to take an old dress & get a whole new look.

How to take an old dress & get a whole new look.

I bought this dress from Boden at least three years ago, but with a bit of tarting up I am in love with it again and think the whole outfit has a distinct retro look to it. Here are my top tips for making old look like new. Hope you like.

I found this gorgeous piece of material at Elifs in Rottingdean and wear it as a scarf/turban.  I think it adds a nice vintage twist to any outfit.  And of course the sunglasses, from Trash Vintage & Retroin Byron Bay, really make the outfit pop!

The yellow 50s style cinch belt is from Vivienne of Holloway and was cheap as chips.  The very old biker leather jacket I found in Zara many years ago, and is still loved to death. (Zara have a lot of leather & pleather jackets on line) My gorgeous shoes are by Lanvin and my bag by DKNY, they are the only expensive things I am wearing and both a couple of years old and worn constantly!  Underneath it all I am wearing a bra vest and leggings 'cause it's not hot!

Hope this helps give you some ideas on how to dress up an old dress and still go out feeling like your whole look is new!  Please let me know your thoughts, I always love to hear from you.
