I went to the Look Fabulous Forever headquarters in London, without a scrap of makeup on, apart from my tinted eyebrows (to cover the grey hairs) and a tiny bit of eyeliner. I couldn't wait to try this makeup & get some colour on my cheeks but must admit that I was not looking forward to sitting in a chair for ages having my makeup done for me. After years of working in TV and, more recently, photo shoots, I get fidgety and impatient.
OK I own up, I came out for my four month sojourn in Australia with a half empty suitcase! I'm sure you know by now that my absolute passion is digging around markets, vintage stalls, op shops/charity shops and independents. Especially here where the climate is more suitable for ferreting around market stalls and where hand made clothes and vintage pieces can often be found for a song, as well as being individual & quite different to something you'd find at home.
You know how much I love digging around in vintage markets, charity and pre-owned shops, as well as the High Street. So I just had to share this fabulous dress with you to encourage & hopefully inspire you to scour the markets, search on-line and generally have a good dig around for a true bargain. I was so happy with this pre-owned dress, from Harlem in Hove, that I wore it for my birthday lunch (with a vest and short leggings underneath!) and paired it with my very old pink Camper heels & a black cashmere cardi from Boden. Not my usual vintage look but love it as a party dress - perfect for the run up to Christmas.
