Well, I survived my five days of music, mud & mayhem!  There was no mud, it was more of a dust bowl, and it was probably one of the best Festivals I have ever been to!  Every night the headliner was a band or artist that I truly love (Alt J, Portishead, James Blake & Noel Gallagher to name a few), and for the first time at Latitude I got to see a comedy from start to finish (The Last Leg) and a ballet on the Lake from start to finish (Sadler's Wells).  I stumbled across Gareth Malone & several choirs, danced my sox off, spent quality time with one of my oldest friends, met lovely people, ate delicious food, especially at new addition Blixen, and had a ridiculously awesome, exhausting & relaxing time!

If you have never been to a festival, Latitude is a perfect place to start, especially if you're over 50 (It's known as The middle class, middle-aged Festie with good reason).  Here are a few of my highlights!

The weather makes or breaks a festival, Latitude is generally lucky, we had near perfect weather day and night.

Dressing up, wearing wacky sunglasses, face painting & coming across eccentric sights & people - it's all part of a British Festival!

My highlights: Sadler's Wells Ballet on the Lake, Noel Gallagher & The Flying Birds, dancing like a mad woman at the Disco Hut, quality time with my mate Marion & those coloured sheep!
