I've been de-cluttering.........

My main rule was and still is: asking myself if I have worn this item in the last 2 years, does it fit, and do I feel fabulous wearing it? If the answer is no, it gets binned and so an awful lot of clothes went to other homes........

Accessories maketh an outfit!

You know how much I love doing a fashion shoot in Byron Bay because it's so beautiful and usually reliably sunny, hot and dry, with a big blue sky. So when East sent me some of my favourite accessories from their new Spring/Summer range, all the way from England, I got really excited about photography with a really beachy summery look for my blog. And guess what, the weather changed from Summer to Autumn overnight, blowing such a gale on the beach that we thought we were in Cornwall!

OK, I've been shopping again!

Not a pre-loved bargain but such an unusual dress from Karly Sunshine, in Byron Bay, for $130 (about £80) it would have been rude not to!  The necklace was bought in Byron 3 years ago, & the bangle & sunnies are vintage, cheap as chips, and I've had them an age.

The only new addition is the turban I found very recently for about £5!  So not a ridiculously expensive outfit but one that will work very well for dressing up more formally somewhere extremely hot.

A vintage necklace.

I am like a magpie nowadays. Always on the search for something up-cycled, re-cycled, retro and vintage.  I so enjoy owning something that isn't brand new, hasn't been mass marketed or made in China..... and something that has memories, has been put together with love and, most of all,  unique, eco and often much, much cheaper than something designer or new!

More headscarf joy!

I had a photo shoot last week to update my publicity pics. I really wanted to wear this old but still much loved dress fromRiver Island, but didn't have an exciting head scarf to style it up - till Age of Reason Studios, very kindly sent me one to try out. Thrilled that it arrived in time for the shoot and even more thrilled with the quality and colours of this scarf. This is definitely going to Australia with me as it's big enough to double up as a sarong.

I'm finally into Autumn/Fall!

I didn't mean to buy any winter clothes as I'm only here till the middle of December before going back to Australia. However, I popped into a few Brighton high street shops to see if they had any interesting tops for the Vivienne Westwood skirt I bought for my birthday this time last year. I have only worn it a couple of times so really want to get maximum wear out of it this year.
