Latitude. Bands, Ballet & Boutique Camping!

Well, I survived my five days of music, mud & mayhem!  There was no mud, it was more of a dust bowl, and it was probably one of the best Festivals I have ever been to!  Every night the headliner was a band or artist that I truly love (Alt J, Portishead, James Blake & Noel Gallagher to name a few), and for the first time at Latitude I got to see a comedy from start to finish (The Last Leg) and a ballet on the Lake from start to finish (Sadler's Wells).  I stumbled across Gareth Malone & several choirs, danced my sox off, spent quality time with one of my oldest friends, met lovely people, ate delicious food, especially at new addition Blixen, and had a ridiculously awesome, exhausting & relaxing time…

Goodwood races, Idris Elba DJs.

Dalia and I, friends since school, now go to 3 Friday Nights at Goodwood every year. It's a great event 'cause you get to enjoy horse racing, lovely food and drink, and then get to dance your socks off to a hot DJ.  In this case, both meanings of the word "hot", we got Idris Elba!  Who knew such an amazing actor was also a great DJ…

High Street bargains.

Welcome to another look at what I've been finding on the High Street.  It's not all about vintage, retro and pre-loved shopping.  Sometimes the cheaper end of the high street chains, aimed very much at the younger shopper, come up trumps when it comes to finding something special…

Nowadays, in the West, acupuncture is used more and more and is even NHS approved.  It is also a great aid to ageing healthily, here's why......

10K A Day Keeps The Doctor Away!

I haven’t posted about fitness for a long while.  Yet, staying in Byron Bay, I have never had more opportunities to get fit.  I do a short, stretchy Yoga sequence most mornings, have found a Body Pump class,  walk 10 thousand steps a day, or more, cycle everywhere and  am having swimming lessons for the crawl! (More on that in a later post)  All  ideal exercises for increasing stamina and keeping your body toned – at any age. No wonder I’m exhausted…
